Clinical non-drug intervention application observation combined with traditional Chinese and
Western medicine after the diagnosis of malignant tumour

【Abstract】After the diagnosis of malignant tumours, patients generally have pathological conditionssuch as metabolic disorders, immunosuppression, chronic low-grade inflammation and visceraldisfunction. Although Western medical methods such as simple radiochemotherapy and targetedtherapy can inhibit tumour proliferation, they are easy to cause body loss and deficiency of righteousqi, affecting treatment tolerance and prognosis recovery. As the core carrier of the theory of foodhomology in traditional Chinese medicine, the substance of food and medicine has the dual value of food treatment and medical conditioning, and it is an important non-drug intervention in tumour
clinical practice. Through clinical application observation, this paper explores the clinical value, mechanism of action and application advantages of non-drug intervention combined with traditional Chinese and Western medicine after the diagnosis of malignant tumours, and analyses the problems and optimisation paths of the current clinical application. Research shows that the combined intervention of standardised and individualised food and medicine with traditional Chinese and Western medicine can effectively harmonise the body's internal organs, qi and blood, improve the abnormal metabolism of tumours, reduce the side effects of treatment, and improve the quality of life of patients. It is an important supplement to the comprehensive treatment system of tumours.

【Discussion】Malignant tumours belong to the category of "episy" and "accumulation" in traditional Chinese
medicine. The core of the onset of the disease is the deficiency of righteous qi, phlegm stasis and toxic knots. Western medicine defines it as abnormal cell proliferation and metabolic reprogramming diseases. The perception of the pathogenesis of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is highly complementary. In the early stage of tumour diagnosis, the patient has not yet entered the stage of high-intensity treatment, and the body loss is relatively light. At this time, non-drug nutrition conditioning can correct the imbalance of the body in advance and lay a solid physical foundation for subsequent anti-tumour treatment. The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine intervention in food and medicine is different from ordinary nutritional supplements, and follows the dual principles of differential feeding in traditional Chinese medicine and precise nutrition in Western medicine. Relying on the mild
medicinal properties of medicinal and food homogeneous substances, it can achieve the conditioning effect of strengthening the spleen and benefitting qi, supporting and fixing the original, dispelling moisture and detoxifying, and effectively improve the typical symptoms of tumour patients such as qi and blood deficiency, spleen and stomach weakness, and low appetite. From the perspective of modern medicine, polysaccharides, flavonoids, polyphenols and other active ingredients contained in food and medicinal substances can regulate the body. Inflammatory pathway, regulating intestinal flora, repairing immune barriers, inhibiting malignant progression in the tumour microenvironment, and achieving the effect of auxiliary tumour control, reducing toxicity and enhancing efficacy.
Combined with clinical observations, it is found that there are still shortcomings in the current intervention application: first, the clinical intervention lacks discrimination and type, and more general food tonic schemes are adopted, and differentiated policies are not combined with the patient's constitution, tumour type and course stage; second, there is a misunderstanding of food supplement in the public, and blind supplementation is easy to cause phlegm and sedimentation and aggravate the metabolic burden of the body; Third, the clinical evidence-based application standards of food and drug quality are not yet unified, and the combined intervention system of traditional Chinese and
Western medicine has not yet formed a standardised process.
【Summary】In the whole process of malignant tumour management, drug treatment mainly focuses on the removal of lesions, and the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine and non-drug intervention in food and medicine mainly focus on physical conditioning and immune repair. The two complement each other and synergize. Relying on the advantages of safe, gentle and sustainable application, food and medicinal substances are suitable for the whole cycle scenarios of early intervention after tumour diagnosis, auxiliary conditioning during treatment, and consolidation and maintenance during rehabilitation. In the future, clinical practice should establish a standardised
58intervention plan for identifying and giving food + precise nutrition, standardise the quality indications and application boundaries of food, improve the non-drug intervention system combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, empower the whole-process rehabilitation of tumour patients with scientific drug and food intervention, and further enrich the integrated diagnosis and treatment path of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for comprehensive tumour prevention and treatment.
